In this video, I’m excited to be joined today by Kevin Indig, who is Director of SEO at Shopify. We’re going to talk today about the future of eCommerce SEO from someone who has a real shot at helping shape that future!
With more than a decade of experience in SEO, Kevin Indig has become one of the leaders in SEO for tech companies. Before joining Shopify, Kevin held positions at G2 Crowd, Atlassian, and Dailymotion and he has a strong technical SEO background.
Together, we will be exploring how eCommerce businesses can future-proof their SEO strategy.
eCommerce SEO is the process of making your online store more visible in the search engine results pages (SERPs). When people search for products that you sell, you want to rank as highly as possible so you get more traffic. You can get traffic from paid search, but SEO costs much less. As a result, eCommerce SEO is hugely important when it comes to getting increased leads and traffic to a business’ website.
According to Kevin, some of the most common opportunities that eCommerce store owners have to boost their visibility in search can be found by going back to basics. This involves ensuring your business has a clear goal when it comes to its SEO strategy and then setting targets to be able to meet it.
In order for eCommerce businesses to be able to future-proof their SEO strategy, we also discuss the big trends and what opportunities they provide.
